Judgement: It is something we all do: from what someone wears, to what they don’t. How they look. How they act. We are our own worst critics. In a world where criticisms and other people’s judgements constantly arise, it seems necessary to gain some kind of validation from our peers and ourselves.


The social media, news and television reporting focusing so strongly on the visual appearance of others and by implication aimed at the younger demographic population. It causes self-doubt, increasing the need to compare ourselves to others which is creating an unhealthy society.


This hot topic, needs addressing with action. We are retreating to a slower pace living. Stepping back - recharging in ways that is therapeutic, in order to heal what is being forced upon us.


There are pros and cons to using social media. On one hand, enabling us to stay in touch with friends and family; accessibility to the masses is vast; business opportunities and developments are enhanced. On the other hand, cyber bulling is used to stalk and terrorise, the subconscious need to compare is increased and conversations are reduced at dinner times, because no one is talking, because everyone is far too busy on their phones.


Forbes looks into 6 ways social media affect our Mental Health and Well Being.


There are other magazines that look at the manner to de-stress in natural ways to counteract busy life styles.


Stylist’s last few issues looked at how women are affected and ways in which women can empower themselves and regard each other as sisters with encouragement and pride. OUR LAST PROJECT SOFT FEMININE BEAUTY AND CURRENT PROJECT “TO BE” ARE BASED AROUND THE IDEA OF SIMPLY BEING “TO JUST BE”. BE IN THE MOMENT, BE PRESENT, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT AND CAPTURE BEAUTY IN IT’S STRENGTH. WE ARE ALL UNIQUE IN OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL WAYS. LOOKING AT BEAUTY WITHIN AND HOW THAT SHINES THROUGH….

ANYONE WHO IS HAVING A BAD DAY OR NEEDS A GENERAL PICK ME UP - BE AWARE THAT SOCIAL MEDIA IMPLIES WE HAVE TO CHANGE -TO LOOK LIKE SUPER MODELS AND THE RED-CARPET WALKERS. WHAT MAKES US BEAUTIFUL IS NOT JUST OUR OUTER SHELL, IT IS WHO WE ARE.


Addressing non-Binary, BOTH GENDERS, or however you identify, BEFORE YOU share your concern or thoughts regarding someone's appearance OR Your quick to question you own worth because you missed a gym session - REMEMBER TO HAVE A BALANCE - BE KIND TO YOURSELF AND LIVE YOUR LIFE, ENJOYING IT ALL.
